Pedal for your Pinot in Sonoma

Pedal for your Pinot in Sonoma
Having made the move from Los Angeles to Santa Rosa, I have a definite feeling of rejuvenation as I rediscover my love for the outdoors. One particular outdoor activity that I have rediscovered since the move is biking! Bike trails are a plenty in Sonoma County and with the majestic beauty of the vineyards, the off road trails, the scenic oceanside…every time I started my car on the weekends to go exploring I had a sense of guilt as I knew how much better the day would be on a bike! So I joined a few friends and hit the trails through Trione-Annandale State park for my first ride in few years (actually decades) and it was truly an exhilarating ride, great scenery passing by 3 lakes, some pretty good climbs and a well deserved Pliny the Elder from Russian River Brewery at the Trail House at the end of the 20mile ride.

While this 20mile ride may not have been the ride I was envisioning it has reinvigorated my love for biking and I look forward to warmer spring days and hitting the trails through Sebastopol and Forestville with a few stops along the way at some of the amazing wineries found in the Russian River Valley. A ride I will be partnering with Getaway Adventures as part of our Pedal for Pinot package at the Hotel e on Saturdays through the summer. This 5 hour round trip ride will include stops at the Barlow in Sebastopol and a few of my favorite wineries along the way. While guests can book cycling tours any day of the week, the Saturday ride will be one that General Manager of the hotel will lead. Look forward to seeing you on this adventure this summer!
