Ian Scherer was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he attended the prestigious Duquesne University School of Music on a scholarship for guitar performance. During those years Scherer also studied privately with legendary Jazz guitarists Pat Martino, Jimmy Bruno, and Joe Negri. Ian relocated to the west coast at the age of 23 and has since become one of the most well known and in demand guitarists in Northern California.
